My Major & Career Goals
My Major
Fitness Management & Personal Training
A bachelor's degree in Fitness Management & Personal Training has allowed me to get a thorough understanding on writing exercise prescriptions and understanding the specifics of training for each client to meet their goals safely and effectively. This degree has shaped me in many ways to understand the physiological and biomechanical aspects of health and fitness. It has taught me how to better educate and build relationships with our clients.
My Goals & Achievements
My long term goal is to be a strength and conditioning coach for athletes in a high school setting while doing online and in person coaching on the side! My short term upcoming goals are to get my bachelors degree after getting my 350 externship hours, then taking the ACSM and NSCA certification tests to pass and apply for jobs as a strength coach!

I have lots of experience in the strength and conditioning field as well as connections. I've also competed in 2 NSCA powerlifting competitions winning 1st place in my weight class and overall best lifter awards for the highest wilks. I competed in USPA drug tested junior men 75 kg raw division national championship, and USPA drug tested cold feet classic in Dayton, Ohio! These competitions have given me growth in so many aspects of my fitness journey and provided more joy and confidence in what I do for myself and others!
What College has done for me so far...
My career goal was to become an Athletic Trainer or a Physical Therapist, but after doing some research and hearing from people what it takes and what a typical day is like. I found out that it wasn't for me. So, I switched my major from Exercise Science back to Fitness Management and Personal Training. After talking to other trainers and interviewing one I knew I wanted to be a Personal Trainer and motivate my clients by setting small goals to help them lead up to their overall goal. I just want to be there for them every step of the way and provide feedback and accountability to my clients. I would also like to be the CEO of my own gym someday. My involvement goals were to join the climbing club which I was a part of until I noticed there wasn't very many people involved in it, and the membership at the gym we were going to was $59 a month. I also started to develop tendonitis right between my bicep and elbow. I felt intense sharp pains every time I would try and climb so I quit going and started to do some stretches and iced it to allow the pain to go away. I was part of a bible study organization called The Rock. I started noticing how much of an impact Gods made on these people lives that I wanted it so bad. I opened up to him and he changed my life and who I am. I feel like a completely different person and I can't thank him enough. I used to think I was a Christian and believed in God, but I knew nothing about him and what he did for us. After listening talking to people my thoughts and heart changed and I confessed, believed, and trusted everything he did for us and he saved me. I started experiencing things and feeling in my heart how real he was. It's just crazy thinking about who I was in the past and who I am now. Now I really want that for others to know who god is and pray that family and people I love can be saved and with god someday. So that's The Rock and It's not the organization or the people who changed me but God speaking through those people allowing me to confess my past and beg for forgiveness.
